How it all started

Emmy Ember grew up on a fiber farm and has had a passion for creating since early childhood. At age 18 she felt a strong calling to make her own fashions. She began creating her own patterns and made herself a new party dress every week all through college. She began selling these one off party dresses at the Sowa arts market in Boston. Simultaneously starting a vintage store with her husband she continued to create and develop her product line. 

Her products are handmade in the USA with a focus on sustainability and mindfulness. She creates the clothing that she wants to wear and can’t find in the marketplace. Comfort, quality and timeless design inspire her process. Her goal is to help other people feel like the best version of  themselves in the clothing they’re wearing through providing an earth friendly option that is made with love. 

Philosophy

At Emmy Ember we believe that money can’t buy you love, but it can buy you products made with love. We put our love into every single product we make, and we believe that the customer can feel the difference. 

We make small exclusive runs of each product so that we are not left with excess unsold product. Each line is exclusive and only available in limited quantity, which means that you won’t have to worry about someone else at the same party rocking the same look as you. 

Emmy Ember believes in bringing the creative power back into the hands of local USA makers. That is why on the manufacturing side, she is creating a network of talented makers to manufacture her products from their own homes. She believes that providing a flexible lifestyle for her employees promotes happiness and therefore positive company culture.
